This was painted off a photograph that I took of my nephew at a lunch with my family. I bought him the hat and really liked the look he gave along with the outfit he was wearing. He has big blue eyes and with the cool looking hat, he reminded me of Frank Sinatra or "ole blue eyes". So, I call my nephew "young blue eyes".
I'm a graduate of the University of Akron from 2004, where I majored in photography and painting. I reside in Canton, Ohio and work in my darkroom as well as my small studio in my basement. Art has saved my life as it has been my therapy for my being diagnosed with having Bipolar, OCD, and Anxiety several years ago, after my medical discharge from the Navy in 2011. Since 2011 I've been working on many things and like to work on several projects simultaneously. Currently, I'm working on several paintings, a self portrait from my time in the Navy, a photography book series from my travels out west several years ago, where I took over 50,000 digital images as well as over 50 rolls of black and white film, and I'm working on putting...
