This was taken during my photography trip out west where I drove out my car out west for a month with a friend photographing. I'm turning these photographs into a book series of my travels. This man was a survivor from Hurricane Katrina and offered to pose for me, play his harmonica, and be my tour guide of the Alamo if I bought him and his wife dinner. Of course I said yes!
I'm a graduate of the University of Akron from 2004, where I majored in photography and painting. I reside in Canton, Ohio and work in my darkroom as well as my small studio in my basement. Art has saved my life as it has been my therapy for my being diagnosed with having Bipolar, OCD, and Anxiety several years ago, after my medical discharge from the Navy in 2011. Since 2011 I've been working on many things and like to work on several projects simultaneously. Currently, I'm working on several paintings, a self portrait from my time in the Navy, a photography book series from my travels out west several years ago, where I took over 50,000 digital images as well as over 50 rolls of black and white film, and I'm working on putting...
